Need for Speed in Real Life gets an equally amazing sequel

It looks better than the original videogame.

We found a video on Youtube that recreated a race from the Need For Speed game series. This short clip showed several Japanese performance cars racing on public roads without traffic. The second installment of this series features a few races, and some traffic.

The video is 4:44 minutes long and features four races featuring three cars from the “player”. The show begins with a gray Toyota Supra that enters city traffic to search for a race. The sports car is in a race against the Nissan Skyline R34 and Mazda RX-7. One user commented from YouTube that the “Golf gapping a Supra and an R34 at the start” left us in tears…

The Supra is replaced with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII equipped with performance parts for the second race. It eventually wins a contest against Japanese cars. The Nissan Skyline GT-R replaces it quickly for the third race. The preparations include new Nismo wheels, performance components and a new exterior colour.

After a quick ride around the town, the GT-R is in a head-to-head battle against the Lancer Evo. The next race in this video follows. This race is the most difficult of all three, but the “player” wins again. The GT-R’s final race, however, is much easier.

The driving speeds appear legal, but the camera effects make it feel like a NFS video. Fantastic job. Can’t wait for the third installment.
