Bryan Hillman, a California BMW owner, is facing two lawsuits from his neighbors over his aggressive driving and revving engine. They claim that he violated their “quiet enjoyment” of their property, Tire Meets Road reports.

Hillman shared a portion of the lawsuits via Twitter. One neighbor wants $5,000 and the other wants 10,000. Both neighbors claimed that the reckless behavior was a long-standing problem. One complaint also included verbal abuse.

We don’t know Hillman’s neighbors so can’t confirm whether they have any arguments about his reckless driving. It is interesting that he posted a tweet just before he filed these lawsuits showing him taking a smokey powerlide through a cemetery. The clip does not seem to support his case, regardless of whether this is a common behaviour.

Hillman began selling decals that had the message F— Susan after he was served with the lawsuits. This refers to the person who sued him.

California Civil Code grants homeowners and tenants quiet enjoyment of their property. According to Apartment guide, persistent disturbances include “ongoing disruptive nuisances and noises or behaviors such as barking dogs, or loud music late at nights.”

Hillman might be a disruptive nuisance if he is truly sliding and doing burnouts. Judges will decide.

There’s nothing wrong in taking a fast drive. But you don’t have to whizz through the suburbs revving the engine and drifting down the culdesacs. Find a scenic road in the country to enjoy the views from the seat of your car.
