Nelson Racing Engines has teamed up with eGarage and Roadster Shop to create this 1969 Camaro.
This tuning project’s main highlight is the 2,000 horsepower (1491kW) power output. It was achieved by installing a NRE Billet Blackout Series twin turbo intercooled 572 cubic-inch Big Block Chevy crate engine, connected to a 6-speed transmission with a twin 10.5 inch dual disc clutch.
The engine’s impressive power is transmitted to the ground by a Strange 9 inch rear with nodular chassis and 35 spline wheels. The exhaust is made of 304 stainless steel with an x-pipe and the cooling system includes an aluminum dual-row dual pass radiator with twin high-output electric fans.
It rides on HRE wheels wrapped in Drag Radial tires while the stopping power is provided by the electrically-assisted four wheel disc brakes. The Camaro custom uses dual fuel injectors per piston with “octane-on-demand” and automatically injects racing gasoline in the secondary injector under boost conditions. It runs on 91 octane.
