Volkswagen has revealed the Final Editions for the New Beetle as well as the New Beetle convertible.
The Final Editions are meant to celebrate the end of the current Beetle. They feature an Aquarius Blue paint job and 17-inch alloy wheels. A sport suspension, special badges, and a unique numbered steering wheel.
Final Editions come with a 2.5-liter, five-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 150 horsepower and 170 lbft of torque.
Mark Barnes, CEO of Volkswagen of America, stated that the New Beetle and its convertible, the New Beetle, have been loved by generations of people who love their cars’ unique styling and unmatched characteristics. He said, “The Final Editions include all elements that best reflect what people love about the New Beetle and have created its legacy, which will be passed on to generations.”
The coupe will go on sale in spring 2010 for $20,240 USD, while the convertible will go for $27,170 US. Production will be limited to 1,500 units.
