With the extended wheelbase, you get a longer rear door and more legroom.
The Mercedes AMG A35L will not be the only long-wheelbase sedan to debut at the Auto Shanghai 2019. BMW will also attend the show in China to unveil the 3 Series , which was previewed earlier this year. Although the design is almost identical to the international model’s, the rear doors are longer to accommodate the larger wheelbase. The distance between the axles has increased 11 centimeters (4.33 in) to 2961mm (116.57 in) and the overall length now stands at 4829mm (190.11 inch).
Update:
This extra footprint allows for 43mm (1.7 inches more) legroom for rear passengers. BMW The new 3 Series Long Wheelbase boasts the best rear legroom in its class. The car’s longer rear doors make it easier to access the car. Rear seats are specially designed for the LWB model and feature “special shaping” and pampering upholstery.
BMW spent time designing new speaker covers to fit the CN-spec 3Serie. They also installed an illuminated contour strip at the back of the front seats to create a comfortable atmosphere. The illuminated front and rear sill plates, panoramic glass roofs, and acoustic glasses for the windscreen lower NVH levels are just a few of the other goodies. The trunk’s cargo capacity is 480 liters (16.95 cubic ft), which can hold up to three golf bags.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine produces 181 horsepower and 221 pounds-feet (300 Newton meters) of torque. It is available in the 325Li launch version with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear axle.
The China-only 3 Series Long Wheelbase, which was introduced today at the Auto Shanghai 2019,, is set to go on sale in the middle of 2019. It will be manufactured by the joint venture BMW and Brilliance. Along with the standard-wheelbase model, the stretched derivative will also be sold in People’s Republic.
