New BMW X5 M Spy Photos Capture Crossover with New Taillight Graphics

The front and rear styling will be updated.

BMW is gradually assembling the facelifted X5 M. This includes the X5 M at the top. The crossover has been captured by spy photographers at various stages over the past year. However, the latest spy photos show it with new taillight graphics.

New photos show the whole crossover. However, camouflage is still visible across the front and back fascias. This hides BMW’s styling tweaks. The HTML5 M will get the standard mid-cycle upgrades: a new grille and revamped headlights. There will also be some visual enhancements to the exterior, such as a revised bumper and a modified bumper. The X6 will adopt the same grille design. This could also include the X6’s illuminated Grille.

The bumper and rear hatch are still covered in camouflage, but you should pay attention to the taillights. These were partially visible in spy photos, but the new pictures show a new design and different camouflage to conceal them. The X5 M may get new taillight graphics, although it is difficult to see the changes as the rear remains hidden.

Under the hood, the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 of the X5 M will continue to power it. The top-tier X5 M Competition will still deliver 617 horsepower (460 kilowatts). Those looking for something less powerful will be able to choose from the rest of the updated X5 lineup. It will be the last non hybrid V8 in the model.

BMW is likely to continue updating its models with the most recent interior accessories. The brand’s infotainment system will be available on the new X5M. It also includes a large dash-mounted screen and an extensive dashboard. Similar changes were made to the updated 8-Series lineup. BMW may make some other changes, but not drastic ones.

BMW has not yet indicated when the new X5 will be available, nor the hotter X5M. The updated X5 lineup is expected to be revealed sometime in the current model year 2023, although we aren’t sure if the whole range will be available or just the regular X5. We hope that the unveiling is not too far off.
