Henrik Fisker believes that a prototype working could be available sooner than anticipated.
Henrik Fisker has returned with another nighttime image of the compact crossover, just two weeks after dropping an intimate teaser image showing the Fisker Pear. Although it is less dramatic overall, this teaser gives us a better view of the Pear’s face. It promises to be a revolutionary EV.
Let’s have a closer look at this rendering before we get into the details. There are many similarities between the Pear model and the Fisker Ocean. The most notable is the small rectangular notch below the hood that displays the vehicle’s name and narrow headlights. Although it looks solid, the lower fascia uses a similar mesh pattern to mimic a lower grille. It might seem like the Pear is a smaller Ocean if one looks at it from above.
The previous teaser, with its three-quarter view, suggests that something very different is in the works. The hood is very narrow and the wide stance combined with a short wheelbase give off a hot-hatchback look. Fisker claims that this crossover is actually a type of crossover.
The Pear is being teased as revolutionary in the latest teaser. This is certainly bold. Fisker does not offer any further explanation, except to state that technology and unique features will take over tradition. We don’t see traditional side-mirrors in any teasers. Fisker could also adopt a more radical approach in electric vehicle design, since there is no internal combustion engine. This is what Mercedes-Benz has seen with their EQ cars. This contrasts with BMW or Audi which have shapes that are identical (or even identical) to their internal-combustion counterparts.
The Pear is currently the property of a virtual universe. Fisker says that although the teasers are renderings, a prototype may arrive “earlier than I initially stated”. The Pear could be available in 2024, starting at $29,900, if everything goes according to plan. The Fisker Ocean is still not on sale, so there is plenty of time for the Pear to make changes.
