New Hyundai Sonata N Line Meets Honda Accord, Acura TLX In Drag Race

The old dogs meet the new kid on the block.

It is safe to say Hyundai has done it again with the new Sonata. The new Sonata is loved by everyone at Motor1.com. Our Senior Editor Brett Evans said that the Sonata N Line was ” simply best”. A drag race.

Throttle House purchased the Sonata N Line – the strongest production Sonata yet. They then compared it to the 2021 Honda Accord and 2021 Acura TLX . This model comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and a 10-speed auto gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The TLX uses the same turbocharged four engine, but it is sending power to all four wheels. The Sonata N Line uses a 2.5-liter turboengine to compete with the Japanese sedans.

Factory numbers clearly show the Sonata has the advantage – it is the most powerful and has more torque than any of the three competitors. The sedan’s 290 horsepower (422 kilowatts), and 311 poundfeet (422 Newton meters) of torque are the most powerful. The TLX has 272 hp (203 kW) and 280 lb/ft (380 Nm). The Accord has the lowest power with 252 hp, 188 kW and 273 lbft (370Nm) of torque.

Although it may seem like a simple drag race, the reality is that there are many surprises. We won’t ruin the fun by telling you more, but we will tell you that this race is great fun. Unexpected winner.
