You can also check out the high-performance upgrades to the crossover.
Maserati has been affected by the global semiconductor shortage. Despite the fact that the Grecale crossover was delayed due to this issue, the company is still working on the model. After some cold-weather testing, the latest spy shots showed the crossover parked in a lot. This gave us our best look yet at its interior and provided a close look at the model.
These new photos show Maserati covering the dash. Previous spy shots had the infotainment screen and the clock . New photos show the majority of the center console, armsrest and doors. Most are covered in red leather. Although the passenger-side doors are covered in brown leather, this vehicle is being tested. Although the photos don’t show much, we can see the interior stylings and push-button doors handles.
We can also see in detail the Grecale Trofeo high performance goodies on the new photos. This includes the larger brakes with drilled disks, red calipers and different tailpipes. Although the standard Grecale has a higher ride height, the Trofeo crossover looks sporty. The new crossover will be built on the same Giorgio platform as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. This means that they should share powertrains.
The Grecale Trofeo could be powered by the same twin-turbo V6 as the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. This engine produces 505 horsepower (376kilowatts in the Alfa). Maserati may also consider putting its Netunno engine, which is currently in its MC20 supercar, into the crossover. Maserati will likely reduce the 621 horsepower (463 kW) of its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 to make it more practical for the Grecale.
Maserati has delayed the Grecale Trofeo’s debut due to a shortage of semiconductors. As automakers love to stagger the debut of new models and performance variants, we may not see the Grecale Trofeo for several months. While a powerful Grecale Trofeo might get fans excited, most people will opt for a standard Grecale which will be more important to the brand’s bottom line.
