New Porsche 911 GT3 RS Spy Video Captures Car’s NA Exhaust Note

Naturally aspirated flat-sixes should produce at least 520 horsepower.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be available before 2023. The coupe is seen testing at the Nurburgring track in a video by CarSpyMedia. It was captured without any camouflage. The car appears ready for production from what we can see. However, we do not yet have a debut date. The car is not completely unknown to us.

The new GT3-RS is expected to arrive with a flat-six engine that is naturally aspirated and produces 520 horsepower (383kilowatts). It’s said to be capable of revving up to 9,500 rpm. This new RS should make at least 520 horsepower. The standard GT3 engine produces 502 horsepower (374 kW) as well as 346 pound-feet (469 Newton meters) of torque. Porsche will likely install a dual-clutch transmission between the engine and wheels.

This car is based on the regular GT3 and adds more aggressive aero bits. The bumper’s aerodynamics are enhanced by a pair vertical fins at the front. The 911 also has front fender vents that provide additional aero behind its front wheels and an intake in its rear fenders.

The 911’s rear features a massive, swan-necked wing. It also has a small lip spoiler, and an aggressive rear bumper that includes aero fins behind the rear wheels. It is covered by a diffuser and two exhaust pipes that extend straight from the back. Previous test vehicles had downward-facing exhaust pipe, but this one doesn’t. GT3 RS should have a range of options including different brake packages.

Porsche has not given any indications about when the GT3 RS will be revealed, but they should soon. The coupe is shown in its naked form and ready to go on the showroom floor. Porsche has very little to hide so we are hopeful that a reveal will soon be possible. We need to know the specifications and price of this car. It looks great. Porsche should start deliveries this year.
