Porsche may also upgrade the powertrains, according to rumors.

Porsche will soon update its Cayenne as well as Cayenne Coupe. A new series of spy photos shows the two SUVs together in testing. The new models have a completely different styling and are very visible in spy shots.

Although they have many differences, the two will share many of these new styling updates. The pair will get a new front and rear fascias from Porsche that is more aggressive than the ones on the current model. The SUVs will have slimmer headlights, and entirely new LED taillights. Porsche will also move the Cayenne’s license plate to match the Cayenne coupe.

Porsche has not yet released details about its powertrain, but the automakers are going against the grain and keeping them unchanged. According to a new rumor, the Cayenne will get a highly modified PHEV powertrain which it will share with its next-generation Panamera. An updated hybrid powertrain will be equipped with a larger battery pack to provide more range and modernize the electric motors and engine.

Porsche will likely update the entire powertrain range. This should provide improved performance and efficiency wherever it is needed. Porsche offers the Cayenne with several options, each of which will be given their own update as part of Porsche’s mid-cycle plan. This includes their interiors as well as powertrains. We’ll keep you updated on news regarding the Cayenne Turbo and E-Hybrid and GTS.

Although spy shots of the interior were taken earlier, Porsche couldn’t hide the many changes. At a minimum, the Cayenne will get the new shift lever from the 992-generation 911. We noticed a thick, chunky display sticking out of the dash in the photos. This suggests that Porsche will make more changes to the instrument panel.

Porsche has not yet announced the debut date for the new SUVs. The Cayenne’s current generation was launched in 2017. It is due for a facelift. The new SUVs will be available later in the year and go on the market for the 2023 model-year. We took spy shots of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid last September and saw that the model’s styling update would spread throughout the Cayenne range.
