Audi has released a new promotional video for the all-new A4, showcasing its optional digital instrument cluster.
Audi has released a fresh promotional clip for its all-new A4, this time showing off the optional digital instrument cluster.
Audi’s A4 is the most-sold model, so it’s not surprising that their marketing department has been working round the clock to create promotional content for the new B9 generation. We saw the matrix LED headlights and now, the company with the four-ring logo is showing off the fancy digital instrument cluster known the Audi Virtual Cockpit.
The digital display is already available in the TT, Q7, and R8 models. It costs EUR500 more and replaces analog dials with a 12.3 inch LCD monitor. This LCD monitor has a 1,440 x 540 resolution. It also features a powerful graphics processor that provides smooth 60 fps performance. Audi claims the virtual needles are very precise. The driver can choose between two modes by pressing the “view” button on the steering wheel.
Infotainment mode has a large central window that displays navigation maps and lists with data from radio, sound, and telephone. Classic mode displays the speedometer and tachometer in the same size as conventional dials, but is divided by a smaller central display to replicate the analog look.
