New Range Rover Sport SVR is The Most Powerful Land Rover
It could be capable of more than 600 horsepower.

In May, the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport was officially unveiled. It features a plug-in hybrid powertrain as well as a BMW-sourced twin turbo V8. The US price for the 3.0-liter mild hybrid turbo starts at $84,350 and goes up to $122,850 if you want the P530 First Edition. This V8 produces 523 horsepower (390 Kilowatts) as well as 553 pound-feet (775 Newton-meters). A more powerful version of the P530 First Edition is in development. It will debut before the year ends with the SVR moniker.

We have seen Land Rover test the Range Rover Sport SVR at public roads and on the Nurburgring, and know that the development work is in its final stages. The best time to share renderings of the new performance SUV is now. You can see the digital drawings in the gallery below thanks to Kolesa.ru. Although this is purely an artist’s imagination based upon the spy photos we have at our disposal, we believe these renderings paint a very accurate picture the new RRSSVR.

We know that the new Range Rover Sport SVR will be equipped with a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, similar to the regular Range Rover Sport. It produces 615 horsepower (452 kW) as well as 553 lbft (750 Nm), in Competition trim. We expect its UK counterpart to produce around the same. In this vehicle, an all-wheel drive and a quick-shifting automatic transmission are expected. It is possible to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed around 180 mph (290 km/h).

There is not much more information available at this time, but Land Rover is likely to spice up the cabin with sportier seating, digital and physical SVR branding throughout and exclusive upholstery options. We expect the SVR model, which will be powered by the latest Range Rover Sport, to retail for around $140,000.
