A new set of tires has been developed by Porsche and Michelin for the Carrera GT supercar.
While the Porsche hype is now centered on the 918 SPyder, many people have not forgotten about the Carrera GT, the company’s previous supercar. Porsche and Michelin now offer a special type of Pilot Super Sport tires for this car, if you’re one of the 1,270 lucky owners.
Porsche claims that the Carrera GT’s handling and stability will be improved by the PSS tires with “N0” ratings (265/35 ZR19 rear and 335/30 ZR20 front). Fuel consumption can be reduced by 10% on regular roads, and as much as 20% on racetracks. They are also able to improve braking performance for the Porsche 911 flagship model.
