BMW enthusiasts, rejoice!
The BMW 7 Series model year 2023 will see a complete redesign. This likely includes a split headlights design and new gasoline engines. The rumour mill has some good news for ICE enthusiasts, although electrification will dominate the powertrains.
BMW Blog According to reports, the base 7 Series will receive a highly upgraded version of the 3.0-liter straight-six (B58), gas engine. It will be available in the 735i with 270 horsepower (201 Kilowatts), and the 740i will have 370 HP (276 kW) These numbers are not yet official, but we believe that they are accurate.
The revised B58 engine will be available on the X5, X6 and X7. However, most likely it will debut on the 2023 7 Series. The new BMW 3.0-liter straight-6 engine should be available on the 5 Series in 540i trim.
The updated B58 will be welcomed warmly, but BMW enthusiasts will be even more excited to learn that the new 7 Series will include a new V8. It is believed to be the S68 internal designation. It will be based on N63’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. BMW Blog claims that the output should reach around 535 horsepower (399 kW) and, just like the 3.0, should make its way into other large models.
The all-electric BMW 7 Series flagship sedan will be admittedly the most technologically advanced. It could be as powerful as 650 horsepower (485 kW) according to preliminary information. This is due to the large battery pack and dual motors that drive all four wheels.
