You want a sleeker, more refined Italian sedan?
Two special editions of the Alfa Romeo Giulia were added to the most recent Alfa Romeo Giulia updates. The Racing Edition was released in March, and was followed by the Nring Edition one month later. Although these special editions added an attractiveness to the sedan it remains virtually unchanged since its launch in 2015. Although a new generation Giulia is unlikely in the near future, one designer tried to imagine what a successor could look like.
Kostur Alexandr is a Ukrainian designer who feels the Giulia’s current design is too sporty for it to attract customers in Europe’s mid-sized premium segment. The Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class continue to dominate the charts. The current Giulia is competitive with the A4/3 Series/C Class trio. However, Alexandr proposes a more conservative but solid design for a larger three box vehicle with the same name. It will be less rounded and feature sharper lines.
The rendering is strong and sends out strong Alfa Romeo 162 vibes. The overall silhouette is identical, especially at the sides and rear fascia. Although the shape of the taillights may be slightly different, it still makes a strong connection to the 166 sedan. On the other hand, the headlights are very similar to the ones found in the Giulia’s predecessor, the 159 sedan.
