Another report claims that the S650 Mustang could be launched with the carryover engines of the S550 model. Ford declined to comment, but we reached out to them for more information.

A new electrified V8 with more power than the standard V8 5.0-liter is expected to be added later in the lifecycle of the Mustang. Different sources claim that the electric motor will drive the front axle while the combustion engine will spin both the rear wheels. This gives the Mustang all-wheel-drive capabilities. This configuration will only be available with an automatic transmission.

Multimatic and Ford will team up to create a Mustang GT3 racing car. This vehicle is expected to make its racing debut at the 2024 Rolex 24 Daytona. Performance variants of Ford’s new Mustang will be available before 2026, following the initial launch.
