The cabin is a lot more beautiful.

The new generation of the Nissan Frontier will be available for the 2021 model-year. However, the automaker has not yet revealed any details about what we can expect. A new set of spy photos finally gives us a look at the pickup, including an uncamouflaged view inside.

The engineers cover the exterior with a lot of swirly camo, despite the obvious interior. The truck’s exterior has a chiseled look with sharp creases, and angular lines. The truck’s styling is reminiscent of the Titan. There are no visible signs of the dual LED running lights as shown in the teaser image.

The interior of the Frontier is much better. The improvements are obvious, even though the pickup was made in 2005. With touches such as the contrast stitching between the material at the top and bottom of the dashboard, the material quality appears to have been significantly improved.

The new infotainment screen is located in the center stack. Based on the information around it, and our estimations of the size of the monitor, we believe that it measures six to eight inches. Nissan may be planning a larger option to occupy this space, as evidenced by the large black bezel on the exterior.

The HVAC controls are located lower on the stack. A digital display shows the temperature of the dual-zone climate control system. The dial controls the transfer case for 4WD Hi, 4WD High, or 4WD Low settings. It is located to the left. The dial for the opposite side of the transfer case is missing.

The controls for the heated seat and steering wheel are located in the lowest row of the stack. You will also find a pair USB plugs.

The photos do not give a good view of the dashboard. The tachometer’s edge is not visible and it appears to have a thin strip of chrome around.

The 2020 Frontier’s 3.8-liter V6 will be used to power this truck. It produces 310 horsepower (231 Kilowatts) as well as 281 pound-feet (381 Newton meters) of torque. It is powered by a nine-speed automatic.

The new Frontier will be available for the 2021 model-year. However, it is unknown when exactly the debut will take place. It seems that the debut could be in late 2020 or early 2021.
