Next-Gen Subaru BRZ Won't Be Available In Europe
It will debut November 18.

Subaru and Toyota are currently developing the next-generation of their shared sports car. While Subaru teased the new BRZ with a video of a camouflaged Toyota 86 back in August, Subaru has already teased the new BRZ it will reveal on November 18, . The BRZ will not be the global model that it was once. According to a Subaru spokesperson, the company does not plan to sell the two-door in Europe. It will be available only in the United States. We are not sure if Toyota will do it for the 86.

We don’t know much about the Subaru new model, despite its imminent release. A Instagram photo last month showed a prototype camouflaged in green, indicating that the automaker is not ready to completely redesign the car’s design. The car’s exterior styling will change with new front and rear fascias and revised lighting elements. As the car transitions from Subaru’s underpinnings, it will see a significant update on the inside.

The Subaru Boxer engine will power both cars, although we aren’t sure what the details will be. Rumours suggest that a naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter engine with 217 horsepower (160kilowatts), could be the choice. However, there are other rumors about a turbocharged engine producing as much as 252 HP (187 kW) for motivation. This would be a welcome increase on the current car’s 205hp (151kW). The BRZ and 86 will offer manual and automatic gearboxes, we expect.

The new BRZ will be revealed at the revel in a few weeks. It should go on sale next year. The new car will be longer and wider than the current model, which will improve cabin space and make it heavier. However, a boost in power might compensate. We don’t anticipate a spacious rear seat. We expect an improvement in interior materials and quality.
