Initially available in Japan, the Z will be available on American soil once it arrives.
Nissan Motorsports & Customize Co., Ltd. announced the first customization you can make to your new Z car. The first official Nismo upgrade will come in the shape of a sports muffle.
Made from stainless steel, the Nismo sports muffler for the 2023 Nissan Z (called Fairlady Z by Japan). It consists of a rear muffler and a center pipe. The exhaust finishers are adorned with sporty rivets and the Nismo logo. The set emits a “light and pleasant exhaust note, from normal driving to high speed driving,” according to Nismo.
The official upgrade to the Nismo sports muffler includes a replacement muffler pre certification system. However, it will lower the minimum ground clearance by five millimeters with a set mounting accessories.
The Nismo sports exhauster is compatible with all 2023 Nissan Z cars. It costs 308,000 yen (with taxes) or approximately $2,410 at current exchange rates. The fall 2022 order and shipment process will begin in September.
Although the US will likely receive the sports muffler upgrade mentioned above, customers should be aware that production has been slowed and the launch of this car delayed by the continuing parts shortage. It was announced along with the Japanese automaker’s press release regarding pricing. A Nissan spokesperson confirmed that Motor1.com had received it.
The 2023 Nissan Z should arrive on US shores in the summer of this year. It is expected to arrive around June. Although the official US pricing is not known at this time, it is believed it will be around $40,000
A leaked order guidance should provide a breakdown of trim levels and expectations. It was published in early 2012, so you can take a look.
