Godzilla will show off its new body at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week.
We have waited patiently for Nissan’s next-generation GT-R to be released. While it isn’t quite the R36, Italdesign still manages to make Godzilla look great. According to the companies, the GTR with no limits was unveiled online last month. It will be displayed to the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later in the week.
The half century mark of the GT-R as well as the Italdesign supercars is marked by the creation of the radically styled supercar. However, limited production is being considered. The bad news? The bad news? The 2018 GT-R Nismo starts at $175,490.
The GT-50 has a new appearance. It also boasts a 3.8-liter V6 that produces 710 horsepower and 575 pounds-feet (780 Newton meters) of torque. This is due to the addition of two larger GT3-spec turbochargers. The Nismo model is limited to 600 horsepower and 481 lb.ft (652 Nm). To cope with the increase in output, the dual clutch six-speed sequential gearbox was reinforced. There are also stronger differentials and drive shafts.
You’ll need to act quickly if you have the funds to purchase one. The plan is to only make 50 cars, or less. Italdesign will build the GT-R50. Each GT-R50 will be custom-built for each customer. They are determined to transform the prototype into a production-ready vehicle and have created a website for customers to contact Nissan and Italdesign to place orders.
The prototype will make its world debut at Goodwood FoS, Thursday, July 12.
