The new Nissan KIX mini-SUV will be the next product of the Nissan/ Mitsubishi collaboration. It will be shown publicly in the metal at the end October.
It’s not K.I.X. It’s not K.I.X. The KIX is Nissan-badged, but it is supplied by Mitsubishi to Nissan under an agreement. These two companies cooperate on certain levels, particularly in the LCV sector. KIX, a rival to legends like the Suzuki Jimny, will likely use the same engine as that of the Mitsubishi Pajero Mini (660cc, 64PS unit, turbocharger, 88Nm). It is not yet clear what type of drive will be used (2WD, 4WD or both), and there has been no announcement regarding export to other markets.
