Nissan Teases Super Bowl Ad, Packed with Big Stars and Fast Cars

Danai Gura, Eugene Levy and Dave Bautista are stars alongside Brie Larson.

Nissan last month announced that Brie Larson, brand ambassador and actress, would be appearing in the Super Bowl LVI advertisement this season. The latest teasers, which preview Thrill Driver, show her absent. The commercial seems to parody the Fast & Furious movie franchise. Danai Gura, Dave Bautista and Eugene Levy are the stars we see. Levy, the long-haired pilot at the wheel of the 2023 Nissan Z, is Levy. One of the teasers Nissan released today features Levy. This short clip shows Levy being pursued by two black-dressed motorcycle riders and a mean-looking mid-1990s GM F body. Although the car looks like a cross between a Firebird and Camaro, it is the bad guy.The second teaser is shorter than the original.  The second teaser shows Bautista riding a motorcycle as The Hotshot and The Pointman, respectively, and trying to outrun other faceless villains. Although Larson is not in any teasers, Nissan claims that she will have a “lead” role in the ad. However, we all know that Levy’s gorgeous head of hair will be the star of the commercial.

The Nissan Ariya was also missing from the ad. However, the company had previously announced that it would appear in the commercial. The Ariya, an all-electric crossover, debuted in 2020. It should be available for purchase before the end. It’s expected that the Z will arrive first as it is supposed to start reaching dealer lots in spring. This will give the company two completely different products. Another teaser could be shown before the commercial airs. This would allow us to see more of the story, similar to trailers for feature-length movies. Nissan also announced it is hosting a contest for a brand new 2023 Nissan Z. This contest is open until February 15.
