The SUV body-on-frame will initially be sold in China. However, it will soon be available in other markets.
We’ve already seen the spy photos, and now it’s time to take a look at the official images of Nissan’s new Navara SUV. The seven-seat body-on-frame SUV will make its debut at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show. It will also be on display at the People’s Republic.
The exterior design is largely unchanged from the pickup truck.
Nissan would like to highlight the 2018 Terra, which is part of the midterm plan called “Nissan O.V.E. to 2022”. It focuses on a variety of LCV and frame models. According to the Japanese automaker, one out of six vehicles sold globally is either a frame-based or light commercial vehicle. The plan by Nissan’s frame/LCV division is to increase sales by over 40 percent by 2022. How? Launching new products, such as Terra, in China first and then in other countries in Asia.
In April, we will reveal all details about the spiritual successor to the Pathfinder’s previous-generation. We expect to see the familiar turbodiesel-2.3-liter engine.
It’s important to remember that the Navara not only produced an SUV for Asian markets but also provided the foundation for a few pickup trucks for other brands, such as the Renault Alaskan or the luxurious Mercedes X-Class.
