In China, the X-Series of Huansu Auto will be available in a matter of days.
The Lamborghini Urus supercar is disguised as an SUV and boasts 650 horsepower (484 kilowatts). It can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.59 seconds and can go up to 186 mph (300 km/h). The vehicle shown here is not a Lamborghini Urus. It’s actually a Chinese knockoff, and will be available in the region within a few days.
Huansu Auto, which loosely translates to Magic Speed, is the company that manufactured the SUV. The SUV will be made in China by Beiqi Yinxiang Automobile, a joint venture of the BAIC and Yinxiang Motorcycle Group. It will ride on an existing BIAC SUV platform.
According to CarNewsChina, the SUV will be the first of a series of sporty SUVs called the “X-Series.” It has a wheelbase length of 110.8 inches (2.815 millimeters), which is slightly shorter than the Urus’ (118.2 inches/3.002 millimeters), however, it offers more space for passengers. The Urus can only hold four passengers.
Although it looks the part, it will not be as powerful as the Lamborghini it imitates. The engine’s turbocharged 2.0-liter turbocharged engine will produce just 195 horsepower (145 kW). It produces 455 horsepower (339 kW) more than the Urus.
China will be selling the Huansu X-Series on June 6th, but it won’t be available in major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. According to the report, the SUV will be marketed to “third-tier cities” and prices range from Y=100,000.00 to Y=150,000 Yuan (approximately $15,000 – $23,400). The Urus is priced at Y=3.13million in China ($488,000).
