Nssan X-Trail Adds ‘Paw Pack’ In U.K. For Canine Adventuresi

Your dog can have a great time barking for an additional PS599 ($780).

Every dog has a day. In the case of Nissan’s “Paw Pack” option that Nissan introduced today, it is today. This package is available on all X-Trail SUVs in the U.K. and draws heavily from the X-Trail4Dogs concept (and also the Rogue Dogue idea), which was introduced in February. These family- and dog-friendly additions make the X-Trail the ultimate road-trip and adventure vehicle.

The accessory kit is available to UK buyers. It includes a dog guard trunk separator and a ramp that allows smaller dogs or those with less mobility to get into the trunk. The Paw Pack includes the above mentioned features as well as a machine-washable pet bed, a non-spill water container, and a trunk lining to protect the X-Trail from any unforeseen… messes.

Grand Richards, XTrail Product Manager, stated, “We are delighted to launch this innovative Paw Pack because we believe strongly in pets being important members of your family as well as excellent travelling companions for those outdoor adventures.”

“The X-TRAIL Paw Pack allows our beloved companions to travel with all of the comfort and convenience that we would expect. We look forward to helping our customers purchase the perfect car for their entire family, including their dogs.”

The Nissan X-Trail is available for purchase at PS23,385 (£30,455) in the U.K. and the Paw Pack adds an additional PS599 ($780). The Nissan X-Trail is loaded with standard features such as hands-free operation for the electric tailgate and adaptive LED headlights. There are also new 18-inch wheels and a few new exterior colors.

The company also introduced the new ProPILOT semiautonomous driving system in the cabin. It is designed to control the steering, acceleration and braking of the vehicle on highways when there is heavy traffic congestion or high-speed cruising. The same technology will also be available for the new Nissan Leaf, which will debut later in the week.
