These are the official images of the 2014 Honda Fit/Jazz.
Although we have seen many leaked photos of the Fit/Jazz, these are the first to be published by Honda. They show a design that draws inspiration from the 2012 Insight. This includes large front bumpers and angular headlamps. With its Volvo-inspired taillights and ventilated bumper, the car’s back looks busy. The chrome trim runs from one taillight to another is also a Volvo-inspired.
These images also show the hybrid version, which uses a four-cylinder, 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine, a high-output electrical motor, and a seven speed dual-clutch transmission. This setup allows the 2014 Honda Fit/Jazz Hybrid to achieve a fuel efficiency of 36.4 km/l (or 102.8 mpg UK / 2.7 liters/100 km).
The 2014 Honda Fit/Jazz Hybrid comes with a choice of three driving modes: EV, Hybrid and Engine, meaning it can run as a zero-emission electric car, as a hybrid or as a conventionally-powered vehicle.
Details will be revealed closer to the Japanese launch of the car in September.
