Official Paris debut of the Fiat 500X compact crossover

At the Paris Motor Show, the Fiat 500X made its world premiere

The Fiat 500X made its world premiere at Paris Motor Show.

This compact crossover is the sixth member in the 500 family, which already includes the 500, 500C and 500L models.

It will be manufactured in Melfi by the SATA plant, Italy. The model will then be sold in over 100 countries. According to the Italian company, it will be offered in two versions: “One is more metropolitan” and “the other is ideal for leisure”.

The 500X’s engine lineup will include the petrol 140 HP (104kW) 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II, a front-wheel driven and a 6-speed manual transmission, and the 120 HP (90%) 1.6 MultiJet II, which is the same version, and the 140 HP (104%) 2.0 MultiJet II, which features the company’s 9-speed automatic transmission, and a 4-wheel drive. Later, the range will include a 110 HP (82.2 kW), 1.6 E-torQ and a 5-speed manual with FWD, and a 170HP (127 kW), 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II with both a 9-speed auto and an AWD. It also includes a surprising 184 HP (135 kW), Tigershark 2.5-liter unit.

The diesel engine will have the 95 HP (70kW) 1.3 MultiJet II or the 140 HP (104.4kW) 2.0 MultiJet II. Both can be used with 5-, 6-speed manual transmissions, and an all-wheel drive.
