Thanks to Toyota Mexico’s official Twitter account, we get our first glimpse at the Supra just days before its official unveiling.
Toyota Mexico’s Mexican arm posted a tweet that was removed from Twitter, but republished by Jalopnik. It shared a video of the new 2020 Toyota Supra, just days before its official debut in Detroit. This is our first look at the Supra that’s not camouflaged.
Motor1.com has been keeping up with all official teaser images to date. The most recent one showed the rear end of the sports car. This (mistakenly) tweeted footage shows the complete production Supra in unobstructed view for the first time. Although the Toyota teasers provided a good overview of the 2020 Supra’s key features, it left us wondering how all the pieces fit together. The following screenshots are taken from the Toyota Mexico video.
The Supra’s nose is a direct copy of the Toyota FT-1 design that inspired it. While the car’s side profile and tapered rear end give it a feeling of speed, even while standing still, the Supra’s nose is a perfect representation of the Toyota FT-1 idea. We love the rear three-quarter angle because it shows off the car’s prominent spoiler and sleek taillights. The latest Supra (which is internally called A90) blends classic sports car styling with distinctive Toyota styling. It’s a stunning sports car from Toyota. We are eager to see it in person at the Detroit auto show next week.
