Ferrari has unveiled the unique SP12 EEC.
The bespoke model was created by Centro Stile Ferrari in collaboration with Pininfarina, engineers from Maranello and others. It was ordered by Eric Clapton. It is based upon the 458 Italia, and draws inspiration from 512 BB.
Although specifics have not been revealed, the model is said to be powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 570 PS (419kW / 562hp) and 540Nm (398lb-ft). The supercar should be able to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, and reach a maximum speed of 325 km/h (202 MPH).
Clapton said that creating the car was “like being in front of a huge blank canvas that had been painted on.” Clapton described it as “an amazing experience, one the most satisfying things that I’ve ever done.”
