Official Video Tease: Genesis GV80 Coupe and GV90

Sneaky!

Genesis has been in existence for six years and has already made a name itself in the luxury segment. This is thanks to its stunning sedans and SUVs as well as a beautiful wagon for Europe. In the future, Hyundai could enter other segments. The coupe-SUV market is hot and reports are circulating about a GV80 Coupe. It might even have been teased.

Luc Donckerwolke, the company’s Chief Creative Officer, starts an official Genesis video with Senior Exterior Designer Samir Sadikhov as well as Hans Lapine, Design Operations Director. A shelf with scale models appears for a short time. We have highlighted it in red. Could this be the rumored GV80. Maybe.

But there is more. The GV90 is shown in the lower-left corner by a shadowy, diecast model. It may have fewer details than others. According to latest information, it could be a full-size electric SUV that will arrive in 2023. This would be an alternative to the Hyundai Ioniq 7 and Kia Ev9 which were both recently shown by concepts.

Accounting professionals would love to see more SUVs to increase their financial year numbers. But we are more excited about the two-door, two-door Genesis Concept electric coupe that was shown earlier in the video. It appears that Genesis has created a shooting brake derivative to the X Concept electric coupe which was unveiled in March.

These two-door models won’t be a top choice because they’re not as popular as SUVs or sedans. The adorable Mint concept also appears in the video.

In Genesis’ video, why are scale models of high-end Volkswagen Group products included? From the late 1990s to the end of 2015, Luc Donckerwolke worked there. He also participated in the design of several mainstream models, including the Skoda Octavia and Fabia first generations. He also designed the unique Audi A2.
