Porsche today revealed the 911 Turbo Turbo and Turbo S ahead of the public debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The latest 911 Turbo lineup is now available, following several reports as well as batches of spy photos. Turbo and Turbo S are powered by a six-cylinder, direct-injection turbocharged engine of 3.8-liters. It produces 520 HP (383kW) in Turbo and 560HP (412kW) in Turbo S. The power is transmitted to all four wheels by a 7-speed dual clutch PDK with an auto stop/start function. This has reduced fuel consumption by 16 per cent to 9.7 liters /100 km (24.2 mpg US and 29.1 mpg UK). The 911 Turbo with Sport Chrono Package can go 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds), while the Turbo S will go 0.1s faster. Both can reach speeds of 198 mph (318 km/h). The length has gone up 40mm to 4490mm and the width has gone up 28mm to 1878mm. This is compared to Carrera 4 models. Porsche also increased the wheelbase from 2450mm to 2550mm. The front and rear tracks are longer than ever before. The 20-inch alloy wheels on both models are 20 inches in diameter, but the S model has hub wheel locks. Turbo S models can also get full LED headlights, including four-point daytime running light and camera-based main beam control. The Turbo variants, just like the 911 GT3 have four-wheel steering. This allows the cars to lap Nurburgring in under 7 minutes 30 seconds when standard production tires are used. They both have a retractable, three-stage rear spoiler as well as a deployable rear wings with three positions. The 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo is expected to hit the German market in September. The 911 Turbo S starts at 195,256 EUR, while the 911 Turbo Turbo S starts at 162,055 EUR. All taxes are included, including VAT.
