Officially Revealed Citroen Racing Limited Edition

Citroen will unveil a limited edition Citroen D3 at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The Citroen DS3 Racing, a more luxurious version of its supermini is now available.

Officially Revealed Citroen Racing Limited Edition

The turbocharged 1.6-liter Turbocharged THP engine has increased the car’s power output by 30% to 200 PS (147kW/197hp). The torque has been increased by 15% to 275Nm (203 lbft). These modifications were made by revising the engine control unit, changing the turbo and adjusting the powertrain components.
In the meantime, new shock absorbers and suspension springs are being installed. The car was lowered 15mm and both the front track and rear track were increased by 30mm. According to a press release, the changes also included new tires that were wrapped around the 18-inch wheels.

The company added four-piston brakes to the front and ventillated disks in the back to handle the additional power. The new air diffuser and front bumper are made of carbon-fiber. Chrome is also used in certain places, such as the door handles, exhaust, and grille. There is an orange tint to the calipers and grille.
Designers added orange inserts and carbon trim to the interior. Sport seats with purpose were also installed.
The grey and orange car measures 3.94 meters in length and will be displayed in Geneva with checkered flaqs and DS3 Racing graphics. Only 1000 units will be made of the Citroen D3 Racing. The car will be available in the second half 2010.
