The Lamborghini Miura, with less than 1,000 units ever made, is a rare vehicle. Only three of the more than 700 examples are considered SVJ – and one was offered for sale by Kidston. The Miura SVJ story began in 1970 when Bob Wallace, a Lamborghini test driver, wanted more from the road-going Miura SV. He converted the Miura SV into a track weapon. It was manufactured from factory and received the Jota designation. Ferruccio Lamborghini was not too keen.

This example is one of three. It bears the name “The Corsican” to refer to its original owner, Paul Ferrandi from Paris and Corsica. It is the Miura production number 756, chassis number 5090, with engine number 30751 — the same engine in the one being sold today. Number 5090 Miura SVJ was in a different condition before it reached its current condition. It was previously painted silver gray by Carrosserie Chapron, Paris. Kidston SA was responsible for the purchase of the Miura SVJ in 2010. They also supervised its restoration to its original Rosso Granada colour. Ex-Lamborghini engineer Luca Salvioli (mechanicals) and Pietro Cremonini, (all body and painting), completed the three-year-long restoration. The car has an estimated 19,582 km (12,168 miles) of remaining range.
