One person imagined himself rolling in Tupac’s Hummer for $337,144

The hefty sum $337,144 was paid for a 1996 Hummer H1 that Tupac Shakur originally purchased.

Tupac Amaru Shakur, one of the most revered rappers (if not the greatest), purchased the Hummer H1 from RR Auction just a month before his assassination. The H1 Hardtop was estimated to sell for $100,000 by Boston-based RR Auction. However, someone paid more than three times that amount, $337,144.

The Hummer H1 is not standard, as you’d expect from a car ordered from a rapper. The Hummer H1 has all the 90s bling you would expect, with diamond-plated bumpers as well as white “ELIMINATOR” lettering on the rear fenders. Tupac also paid more to get a 12,000-pound winch and a 360-degree spotlight as well as a grille guard with auxiliary lighting.

The Hummer H1’s turbodiesel V8 engine is a massive turbodiesel 6.5-liter. It has only been driven 10,101 miles (16.255 kilometers). The Hummer H1 rides on a 38-inch Dick Cepek tire and wheel combination. There’s also an automatic tire inflation system for inclement weather.

The cabin features an AM General Hummer H1 Hardtop with beige leather upholstery, a burlwood trim and a Clarion sound system. It also has a 12-disc changer. The vehicle comes with a GPS navigation system, as well as other useful features such a sliding rear window, tinted windows and an air conditioning system.

According to RR Auction the new owner is a Tupac collector from the Midwest, who expressed his desire not to be identified. Rap fans will have figured out that the “YAKNPAK”, vanity plate honors Yaki “Prince”, Kadafi, who died two months later than Pac. The car was also bundled with promotional cassettes featuring Pac’s “All Eyez on Me”, and Michael Jackson’s”Thriller”.
