A fair price for a fair car?
The 2020 Nissan Sentra is a very attractive sedan. The SR trim now has the Midnight Edition Package. This adds to the already extensive Sentra range. The model was a simple three-box vehicle in 1992. It was also available in a 2-door configuration. This is something that you won’t find in Nissan’s showrooms today.
This is likely one of the reasons this absolutely perfect 1992 Sentra SE-R sold just a few days back for good cash. The black two-door sedan was listed on Bring A Trailer earlier this week. The new owner will need to pay $33,500. To put it in perspective, this is more than the 2022 Sentra fully loaded.
You can also say that this 1992 Sentra was brand new. It’s a true 1990s time capsule with only 445 miles on the odometer. The car is in perfect condition with no rust spots, flawless paint and an interior that looks just like it did when it left the factory. It’s also spotless due to the fact that a complete paintless dent removal was done in 2001.
The 14-inch wheels seem laughable by today’s standards. The original 14s of this Sentra are wrapped in 185/60 Dunlop Sport D87 tires with 1991 date codes. They look great and complement the simple exterior design of the two-door sedan. All four wheels have independent suspension, and four disc brakes provide stopping power.
The engine is a 2.0-liter inline-four naturally aspirated engine. Twin-cam technology is used and multi-point fuel injectors are used. It produces 140 horsepower (104 Kilowatts) as well as 132 pound-feet (175 Newton-meters). Although it is unlikely to be a hit with everyone, here’s our opinion: It’s certainly more fun to drive than a smaller three-cylinder unit.
