Opel GrandlandX Facelift – Mokka-Inspired Fascia

Keep up-to-date with the rest.

Opel slowly adapts all models to the new technologies of the PSA Group. The new Mokka has already been introduced with an all-new design language. The Grandland X will be the next high-riding vehicle in the line of refreshment, with all other company vehicles following suit.

Opel’s largest SUV, the Crossland, is the current model. The new Vizor front design is heavily inspired from the Mokka. The refreshed Crossland was unveiled by the Germans in October 2013. It has a similar design approach to the Crossland and will likely get the same treatment.

Above is a photo of a prototype Grandland with camouflaged front ends. The disguise hides the new headlights and a completely redesigned radiator grille. A new bumper appears to be on the bumper. The lower grille has a different design with a slightly modified front-facing radar. Opel GrandlandX Facelift - Mokka-Inspired Fascia

The camouflage foil is also used to cover the wheel arches of the test car’s plastic wheels. This could suggest a modified design. It is possible that the plastic cladding may be given a body-matching color to give it a more sleek appearance.

The mid-cycle refresh will see the SUV lose the X suffix in its name. This is similar to the Crossland facelifted Crossland. We don’t anticipate much to be done under the hood, except for some visual tweaks. It’s possible that the engine range will be upgraded, but it’s too soon to know.

Opel is also developing the next-generation Astra. The first spy photos show that the Peugeot 308 German brother will use the same design language. The new Corsa also adopted a similar design approach.
