The Lexus LC 500h Matte Prototype Concept At the 2019 Barcelona Motor Show, Lexus unveils the eye-catching Space Orange paint for its luxury coupe. This is the latest color Lexus has added to the LC. Vibrant Flare Yellow And Structural Blue .
Lexus claims that the Space Orange color has a matte finish and is inspired by the “tones visible when looking at the sun during clear sunsets.” This shade is also inspired by the burnt orange hues found on many cars in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Matte Prototype is also equipped by Lexus with 21-inch wheels in a semi-matte finish and orange brakes. The interior features Space Orange accents on the steering wheel, paddle shifters and trim on the passenger side dashboard trim as well as strips on the doors.
This concept doesn’t require any modifications to the powertrain. The 3.5-liter hybrid-assisted 3.5 liter V6 makes 354 horsepower (264 kilowatts) in the LC 500h. The Multi-Stage Hybrid Transmission , which Lexus refers to as the Lexus, combines a CVT with a four-speed manual gearbox to create an arrangement similar to a 10-speed.

According to Moe Durand, Lexus International Strategic Communications Senior manager, there’s “something big” happening to the LC this April. Durand spoke to Car BuzzinApril. Although it’s unclear what the vehicle might be, it could be the LC F or convertible variant. However, the Matte Prototype is unlikely to qualify as a significant addition to the lineup.
Although Lexus refers to this car as a prototype, the company does not mention its production chances. Although the Yellow Edition was initially a one-off edition, it’s not impossible to imagine the Matte Prototype being produced.
