You can enjoy the wilderness in comfort with a refrigerator, outdoor shower, and camping kitchen.
Overland Expo created what it calls the Ultimate Overland Vehicle. They took a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X truck and rebuilt it with rugged components from their suppliers. Today, the modified pickup will debut at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff.
This is the most obvious modification. Sierra 1500 AT4X The first step is to remove the pickup’s cargo beds and replace them with a tray measuring 6.4 feet in length with a canopy measuring 3.0 feet. These pieces can hold all kinds of off-road gear like an 8.0-gallon water tanks, storage bins, and full-length drawers.
Roof racks can hold a bank Rigid Adapt XP light. You can also find an awning that extends up to provide shade and shelter while you’re away from the adventure. You don’t have to worry about losing touch with the outside world as there is a GMRS radio and a Zoleo satellite communicator.
The roof rack can carry the equipment needed to rescue the truck from a bind. This equipment includes a roof rack, a jack, as well as a pack that holds an axe, shovel and other tools.
The canopy can be used to store a fridge for refreshments. The solar panel that is located on the roof powers it, which in turn charges two lithium-ion battery packs. You can also use the outdoor shower and camping kitchen.
Truck rides on 17-inch wheels and Firestone Destination M/T2 tires. The truck’s driver can inflate the tires to the correct pressure using an onboard air system.
MagnaFlow’s cat-back MagnaFlow exhaust is the only powertrain modification to the Sierra 1500 AT4X.
The rugged truck will be making appearances at the Overland Expo events, Redmond, Oregon, Loveland, Colorado, and Arrington, Virginia, following the Flagstaff debut.
The new addition to the truck’s lineup is the Sierra 1500 AT4X for the model year 2022. This trim is a step up from the AT4 grade. Multimatic DSSV spool valve dampers are included. New springs increase wheel travel by 1.97 in (50 millimeters), and 0.98 in (25 millimeters), in the front. There are also front and rear electronic locking differentials.
