Pagani Huayra Roadster BC Displays Six Exhaust Tips on Camera

It shares some similarities with the Bugatti La Voiture Noire.

Six exhaust tips on a car are rare. The Bugatti is the exception. The world’s fastest new car. The Pagani Huayra Streetster BC costs EUR3,085,000, or about $3.43M before taxes and VAT. It’s not cheap, but it’s still a bargain compared to the Molsheim masterpiece, which is $19M.

The titanium exhaust system was designed for Modena’s hardcore roadster. It features the standard quad tips, as well as two hidden behind the rear diffuser. Shmee150 was able to get a closer view of the Huayra Roadster BC in Pagani’s Factory. You can see him filming two small exhaust tips at the 9-52 mark.

Pagani explained that there are two additional outlets from the catalytic converts to exploit the diffuser principle to generate more downforce. The exhaust is connected to Mercedes-AMG’s 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo engines. It has 791 horsepower 590 (kilowatts), 1,050 Newton-meters (774 pounds-feet), and 1,050 Newton-meters (774-pound-feet).

Shmee’s video allows us to marvel at Pagani’s incredible attention to detail. Everything from the engine to every bolt was meticulously designed. The production will be restricted to 40 examples. With the “65” Mercedes cars out of production this will be the only route to the V12 AMG club.

The Huayra Roadster BC is a compact European car that weighs in at 1,250 kg (2,756 lbs) dry, despite its powerful engine. How is that possible? Carbon fiber, lots and lots of it. It must be an absolute blast to drive with the full torque pumping at low 2,000 rpm.

Shmee was unable to get behind the wheel but was allowed to ride shotgun in the prototype. After that, he returned to the museum to show us some special treasures Pagani had on display.
