This Zonda is unique with its chopped windscreen and partially covered rear tires.
Pagani introduced the Zonda at the Geneva Motor Show 1999. The hypercar was to be retired in 2013 with the track-only Revolution. The Huayra launched, but customer demand was still there, so the Italian marque kept the Zonda going with a variety of one-offs.
The HP Barchetta is unique in that it is not on its way to a customer. Horacio Pagani, the company founder, commissioned this one. The Zondas have a narrower windscreen than other models. This gives the blue creation an extra look. Additionally, the partially covered rear wheels that are similar to the special edition are a nice touch. The Zondas are one of the most distinctive ever created. They have a tartan interior, a six speed manual gearbox, and body-hugging seats that were adapted from Huayra BC.
The Huayra BC’s Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires now wrap the 20-inch front and rear forged wheels of HP Barchetta. This tire also makes use of other features found in the Huraya BC or Roadster. The Uno-di-Uno division of Pagani responsible for limited-run projects did an outstanding job. Even though the Zonda is technically based on a model that’s nearly 20 years old, it still stands out.
There are many aerodynamic modifications that can be seen, including the large rear wing and Cinque-like central scoop. The wheels are unique in that they have a different design on each side. All four are linked to huge blue brake calipers to complement the body’s beautiful shade.
The appropriately named “HP Barchetta” would serve as the last Zonda. However, we aren’t so sure that it will be the model’s final song, as wealthy customers won’t allow Pagani to phase out the naturally aspirated V12 engine.
