Pagani Zonda is rear-ended by a guy making video

After hearing about the accident, Horatio Pagani called the owner.

You can’t hide when you drive a rare and extravagant car like the Pagani Zonda. Unfortunately, one of the supercars from Punta del Este in Uruguay was not paying attention.

This clip shows the incident from two perspectives. The first is from the perspective the truck follows as it crashes into the Supercar F. The video switches to the other lane, giving more context and showing the impact of the crash.

Jorge Gomez, the owner of the vehicle, stated that he was traveling at around 37 miles an hour (60 km per hour) when the accident occurred. The car in front of his Zonda stopped suddenly in heavy traffic. The truck behind him could not slow down in the right time, possibly because the driver was looking at the Pagani.

Photos showed that the Zonda suffered very minor damage. The impact bent all four high-mounted exhaust outlets, and shattered carbon fiber in the rear bumper. However, there was no major mechanical damage. Gomez stated that Horatio Pagani had already called him to make the repairs.

Gomez’s car looks good and should be back on the road once Horatio has the parts. However, other Zonda’s that have been crashed aren’t always so simple to fix. We saw a very rare Zozo edition in Japan last summer where a Maybach tore off the car’s entire front end. Similar unfortunate accidents have also taken the noses off rare models in Dubai and Hong Kong. Pagani enthusiasts are quick to notice any damage that one of the vehicles sustains.

Below is a clip that shows the damage and includes an interview with the owner in Spanish.
