Peugeot has released details about a special edition Peugeot 207 Le Mans Series model after securing three top positions in qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. The 207 Le Mans Series will be limited to 2000 units. It features a unique front bumper with Shadow aluminium grille, and Black Chrome headlights that have AFS. Body side moldings, bumpers strips, sideview mirror housings and bumpers are painted in body color. A long racing stripe is trimmed along the bonnet and roof. Additional decal accents include Peugeot logo stripping on doors and Le Mans logos at the liftgate. The vehicle’s tone is set by the special multispoke Pitlane 17-inch aluminium wheels. Exterior colours include Obsidien Black and Banquise White.
The interior is carried over from the 207 RC and features grinium decor, including front and back bucket seats and RC front and back mat covers. The steering wheel is also available in a granium-finish ring, and can be numbered between 1 and 2000. Aluminium is used for the door sill, pedal assembly, gearshift lever knob and foot rest.
The 207 Le Mans Series offers three engines. The 1.6 HDi 16v 110hp FFS and the 1.6 HPT16v 150hp engines receive a chrome-plated single-exhaust pipe. Chrome-plated dual exhaust pipes are available for the top-of-the-line 1.6 HPT 16v175hp.
