Peugeot has published technical specifications for the 208T16 Pikes Peak following last week’s reveal.
The engine’s heart is a V6-3.2-liter twin-turbo V6-liter 652 kW engine. This power is transferred to all four wheels via a 6-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. This setup takes only 1.8 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), and 4.8 seconds to reach 124 mph (202 km/h), while 7 seconds is required for reaching 149 mph (248 km/h).
The Peugeot 208T16 Pikes Peak’s tubular steel frame is complemented by a carbon bodywork, front and rear anti-roll bars, and a tubular steel chassis. The suspension system is composed of double wishbones, pushrod/rocker arm activation at all four corners, and hydraulic double-circuit brakes that have one-piece light alloy calipers and 380mm front and 355mm rear vented carbon disks.
It rides on 18×13 custom magnesium alloys derived form F1 technology. They are covered by Michelin 31/71×18 tire. Hydraulic power steering, pressurized dampers, and torsion bars are just a few of the highlights.
It weighs in at 875 kg (1.929 lb) and measures 4500mm long, 2000mm wide, 1300mm high, and 2695mm in wheelbase. The overhangs measure 1690mm front/rear and the Peugeot 908-based rear wings measures 2000mm. The fuel tank of the car has a capacity of 40 liters.
