Peugeot SR1 Concept Car unveiled in Geneva

Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology is featured on the SR1 – an all-wheel-drive hybrid system with a total 313 bhp.

Peugeot today unveiled the SR1 Concept at Geneva’s auto show. Peugeot SR1 sports car concept features the French brand’s HYbrid4 technology. HYbrid4 hybrid is an all-wheel-drive system that uses an electric motor to power the rear wheels and a gasoline/petrol engine to drive the front.

A front-driving 1.6 liter THP gasoline/petrol motor with 218 PS (160kW) and 280 Nm torque (300 with overboost) makes up the powertrain. An electric motor adds 95 PS (70 kW), and 178 Nm to the rear wheels, bringing the total powertrain to 313 PS (230 kW). Emissions are 119g/km and fuel consumption is 4.9 Liters/100 km.

The SR1 coupe is a 2+1 with a single middle seat between the driver and passengers.

Peugeot’s goal is to create a car that is stylish and luxurious, both inside and outside. A removable clock from Bell & Ross is mounted on the dashboard. It can also be used as a wristwatch. The cabin has leather and wood finishes, and nickel- and satin-laden chrome highlights.

To serve as the Peugeot badge, the SR1 features a new Lion emblem. There is no information yet about any production plans for SR1.
