The Pininfarina Cambiano concept was a hit at the Geneva Motor Show. Now it may be heading for limited production.
Sergio Angori, CEO, stated that “we are evaluating the potential of companies and private buyers who are interested in a high performance, low-emission luxury vehicle such as the Cambiano.”
The production model could be ready for launch in 30 months. Pricing would depend on how many units are built. Each unit would cost around EUR1 million ($1.3 million) if only 10 were made. If 70-75 units are built, however, the price might drop to EUR400,000 ($522,280).
The concept had an extended electric range. It featured four electric motors with 82 PS (60kW/80 bhp), a lithium-ion battery, and a small diesel engine-generator. The car was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and reached a top speed at 275 km/h (186 MPH).
