It can be transported in a Chinook helicopter.
Plasan Wilder, a brand new off-road buggy, is ready for battle. Remote-controlled autonomous motoring is possible with the military machine.
The Wilder is rugged in appearance with a steeply sloped front and tall fenders that allow for 14.57 inches (370 mm) of wheel travel. The driver is seated in the middle and enjoys a wide view through the three windows. There are two doors on each side.
The cargo bed at the rear can hold a NATO-sized pallet. This small vehicle is capable of hauling a lot of gear due to its 1,764 pound payload (800 kg). There are four people inside, including the driver.
Stanag 4569 Level II protection is offered by the Wilder. The vehicle can carry an armor-piercing 7.62x39mm bullet up to 98.43 feet (30 m) and an explosive mass of 13.23 lbs (6 kilograms) directly underneath the body.
According to Autocar, the turbodiesel-sourced Cummins 2.8-liter turbodiesel makes 159 horsepower (119 Kilowatts) as well as 310 pound-feet (442 Newton-meters) of power. The eight-speed automatic route the power to all four wheels. Maximum speed is 75 miles per hour (121 km per hour). You can also choose to four-wheel steer.
The Wilder is 8.160 pounds (3.7 metric tons). The buggy can be carried internally by a Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter because it is small and light enough. Plasan envisions Wilder filling the role of a reconnaissance officer for military. Soldiers can use remote driving to get out of their vehicle and drive it to another location without being in danger.
The Wilder can be attached to Plasan’s All-Terrain Electric Mission Modul (ATeMM). The Wilder can also carry additional gear and has a 268-hp (268-kW) electric motor. Soldiers can also use the onboard battery pack to power their field equipment. Plasan didn’t announce the Wilder’s arrival. They are available for sale to customers directly or as kits to be assembled in the country.
