Polestar 1 from Need For Speed Heat comes to Life This performance coupe looks great with its large fenders, big wings, and huge diffuser. Need for Speed Heat is the latest installment in the long-running series. It features a modified Polestar1 and its halo car. Instagram posts show that the machine is moving from the virtual world to reality. The standard Polestar 1’s minimalist design is elegant and not too ostentatious. The coupe’s design is completely redesigned with ultra-wide fenders. The renderings of the final vehicle (see above) show a larger front splitter and vented hood as well as turbo-style wheels and canards behind front fenders. There is also space to fit massive wheels at the back. The custom Polestar’s powertrain is unknown, but the stock configuration should still be enough to drive this more wild-looking coupe. It has a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder and two electric motors. This configuration produces 600 horsepower (447 Kilowatts) as well as 737 pound-feet (1,001 Newton-meters) in torque. The prototypes for the Polestar 1 are already and should be ready by mid-2020. Polestar’s factory will only produce 500 units annually, making the coupe an uncommon sight. The Polestar 1 is not the only vehicle on Need For Speed Heat’s list. There are over 120 other options. More machines will be made available in future downloadable content. These include sports cars such as McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and BMW. You will also find muscle cars such as the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and 1977 Pontiac Firebird. However, the Volvo 242DL sedan seems oddly included in the lineup.
