Polestar Performance celebrates the 20th anniversary Volvo 855 T5 R’s birth by combining it with the V60 Polestar.
The Volvo 855 T5 R wagon was first introduced in 1994. The turbocharged, 2.3-liter five cylinder engine produced 240 bhp (179.2 kW) and 330 Nm (234 lb-ft). The wagon weighed 1600 kg (35527 lb), and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just seven seconds. It reached a maximum speed of 245 km/h (152 mph).
The V60 Polestar’s turbocharged 3.0-liter six cylinder engine produces 350 bhp (257kW), and 500 Nm (369lb-ft) respectively. It is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enables the car to rocket from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
