For many golfers, a hole in one is an once-in-a lifetime dream. The same goes for winning a brand new Porsche.
Marco Leoni, an Italian golfer, made the shot of his life this weekend and drove home in a brand-new Porsche.
Leoni won the Porsche Golf Cup World Final in Spain at Canyamel.
Leoni lined up his shot at the tee and selected a hybrid 4-fairway wood for his swing. He said that he couldn’t see where the ball hit. He realized that he had achieved the goal of many golfers when the cheers began to come in.
This is an incredible feat in itself. But Leoni made it even more impressive. He not only achieved something that most golfers can only dream about, but he also won a special prize.
Porsche offered a prize for tournament participants. For a hole in one on the 18th, a bright yellow Porsche 911 Carrera S would be awarded.
Since 2006, Porsche has hosted this amateur golf tournament. This is the first time anyone has won a car because of a hole-in-one.
The Porsche Golf Cup World Final is the culmination 261 qualifying rounds. 17,647 players have been eliminated to make room for the 80 who will participate in the final round.
Although Leoni did not win the tournament, it was a great achievement. His performance on the last hole of the final round was something that he will never forget. We especially love the way he drove his bright yellow Porsche 911 Carrera S.
